Struggle

They tell me to treasure life

How can I when in my eyes

The rainbow turns into a black belt

Across the sky like a hanging rope

The sun blocked by a raven shroud

No longer shines

I hear birdsongs in weeping tones

Like a funeral dirge

The gateway to hope

Is slammed shut

I become a prisoner

The world my dark cell

People around me are jailors

Watching me with silent scorn

Time becomes unbearable

I want to escape to a place

Where my body feels numb

My thought vanishes

My spirit is free
