fingers reaching in where they shouldn’t

 

is what a full body massage feels for the first time.

 

oftentimes you're asked to lie like your body

is on an exam table.

 

you may feel as if your soul left your body

to be examined by an examiner,

who takes mental notes,

mental pictures.

 

palms

backhand

arms

elbows

sometimes feet

are used to massage the entire body.

 

after the first time, you feel relaxed.

fingers won't speak details.

neither will this piece.
